Our Mission is to prevent and end homelessness within DeSoto County, Fla.
Our Vision is to see the homeless and potentially homeless individuals become productive citizens.
Our Core Values are summed up as “CPR:” Compassion toward every homeless person’s situation; Provision of resources to improve quality of life, livelihood, and status through such resources as food, shelter, clothing, education, and counseling; and Respect for each person served without being judgmental.
Our Desired Outcome is to increase the educational, social, economic, and resident status within DeSoto County, as reflected in community statistics.
Legal: DCHC is incorporated as a not-for-profit entity with Florida Department of State’s Division of Corporations. DCHC has been granted tax-exempt status, 501 (c) (3), by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
